The Stephens family came to see us this past week and we miss them already. We had so much fun flying kites on the beach, making tinfoil dinners, bowling, boating on the little lake, smores over the BBQ, playing giant frisbee, and of course shopping at S & S.

Yes Ben is treating me like a queen..... we may not have a furnace but I do have a window mounted air conditioner! Yeah for us! We are going to be keeping cool this summer! Thanks honey!

Hello Longview

My mom and two of my sister's and my two nieces came to see our new place in Longview. It was a very short trip 3 days total with driving and it pretty much rained the entire time but we were still so happy to get some visitors. We promise next time you will see the sun!

The Tulips are here....

We hopped in the car on Thursday and ended up at the Woodland Tulip Festival! It was gorgeous! I have never seen so many tulips in bloom. We thought this place would be packed but it was just us and a couple of grandma's.

Our good friends Noah and Olivia made the trip up to Longview to see us before they moved. We had so much fun! We made jewelry, ate like kings, and went to the S&S (my favorite)!


Noah just graduated so the guys celebrated with rootbeers and steaks!

Everytime I think of all of us eating out with Ben and his big spoon I just laugh! We are gonna miss you guys so much!!!

Smelting?

Some friends of ours took us out smelting in our new town, what the locals call smelt dipping. Ben got dressed up in his wet suit and jumped in the freezing river to catch us some fish. After an hour or so we ended up with 8 smelt, went home, cooked em up and needless to say we probably won't dine on them again. It was fun though and who knows we may end up dipping again next year.

On the Move....

Well we are off to Longview! We're sad to leave Vancouver and didn't think we'd want to stay longer when we first moved out here, but we do. We'll miss the area, the park, the late night trips to whatever stores are open, our house we've called home for the last three years and all the friends we've made along the way.
